KAWASAKI HELP

I now have a Kawasaki Z1000 motorcycle in my possession because someone had dumped it a few years at my job site ! question is: how do I claim it ? the authorities said they have no record or anything on this bike I want this bike the owner apparently abandoned this bike now I know IM a not a smart man god I cant even spell please help me I want total owner ship of this bike I spent a lot of time working on her
